SP GP9 #3769

Here, I represent not only Rio Grande but also the survivors of the 70’s which I found during the recent trip.

This locomotive is being displayed at Ogden Union Station since 1987. It seems her long hood is empty. Long hood also lacks unique lights package.

SP GP9 #3769 was built in 1957 as SP #5733 with 1750hp prime mover. In 1965, she was renumbered to #3574. She was rebuilt to GP9E #3769 in 1970, and was retired in 1986.

Ogden駅にあるUtah State Railroad Museumにて保存展示されている、Southern PacificのEMD製GP-9型機関車3769号機である。エンジンや発電機等は撤去されているようだ。SP独特のライト類はshort hood側のみ遺っている。
