At the engine yard at Havre MT, found this freshly repainted locomotive. This is BN SD45 #6427.

BN #6427 was built in 1968 as NP #3627. She was renumbered to BN #6427 in 1970 and retired in 1984.

Cab Interior of BN SD45 #6444

At the Havre engine yard, we were invited to the cab of BN SD45 #6444.

BN #6444 was built in 1967 as GN #414. She was renumbered to BN #6444 in 1970 and retired in 1986.

BN F9B #9805

At the engine yard at Havre MT, found this freshly repainted locomotive. This is BN F9B #9805.

BN #9805 was built in 1955 as NP #7007B. She was renumbered to NP #6702B. BN gave odd numbers to B units, even numbers to A units, thus she became BN #9805 in 1970, later renumbered to #771. She was retired in 1982.

EMD F9B was built between 1954 and 1957 with 1750 hp prime mover. 98 units were sold in United States.

BN F45 #6628, SD45 #6481 and ex-NP SD45

: MT summer, 1971

Somewhere in MT, met this BN train clearing the semophore. In the photo are BN F45 #6628, SD45 #6481 and ex-NP SD45.
#6628 was built proper for BN in 1971 as the last F45 order for EMD. She was retired in 1986. #6481 was also built proper for BN in 1970 and retired in 1985.

EMD F45 was built between 1968 and 1971 with 3600hp prime mover. 86 units were sold in United States. EMD SD45 was built between 1965 and 1971, also with 3600hp prime mover. 1260 units were sold in United States.
