Flying, 02 - The 1958 JNR Logo [Column_Letters & Figures]
: Japanese National Railways LogoI don't know whether Japanese National Railways knew the "Flying" Rio Grande logo. The JNR logo was introduced in 1958 for the 151 series M.U. electric car. This JNR logo design creates the image of motion directed toward both ways. I think it suits M.U. electric cars and DMU's running both ways.

:JNR 82 series DMU. Aug. 26, 2018国鉄当局がRio Grandeのロゴを知っていたのか筆者は知らないが、これなら進行方向を問わない。電車・気動車には相応しいデザインになっていると思う。
